ABOUT OUR EDUCATORS:
Our Mission
Our mission is simple yet profound: To educate and inform Eritreans about our shared history and culture.
We aim to provide comprehensive learning opportunities for Eritreans, who have been born and raised outside of Eritrea, as well as those who have experienced a political displacement. By teaching our shared history and language, we kindle a flame of passion and belonging that unites Eritreans across the globe.
Our Vision
We envision a united Eritrean community where every individual, particularly the youth, feels deeply connected to their heritage. Our goal is to ensure that Eritreans, regardless of where they live, can read, write, and speak their native language, and understand their cultural roots. We aim to minimize the sense of fragmentation caused by political issues and help Eritrean youth build meaningful relationships and networks.
Our Core Philosophy
Our core philosophy is rooted in the belief that understanding one’s heritage is fundamental to personal and communal growth. We believe that:
- Education is Empowerment: Knowledge of history and culture empowers individuals, creating a sense of identity and pride.
- Community is Strength: A strong, connected community is vital for preserving traditions and supporting one another, regardless of geographical distance.
- Cultural Preservation: Maintaining and promoting our cultural heritage ensures that future generations can connect with their roots and continue our traditions.
- Inclusivity and Unity: We strive to include all Eritreans, respecting diverse experiences and perspectives, to create a unified and supportive network.
